Welcome to Hinomaru Ko, a member of the Hinomaru Ramen Family. The word “Ko” in Japanese means "child", so we are the child of Hinomaru, our flagship location at 33-18 Ditmars Boulevard in Astoria.
At Hinomaru Ko, just like our parent location, we specialize in seven Japanese regional ramens from Sapporo in the north to Kagoshima in the south. Hinomaru Ko offers a savory tonkotsu pork bone broth, as well as a chicken base broth. These broths are made in-house and is carefully tended to for 17 hours before we serve it up to our customers.
Our ramens are topped with the freshest ingredients and includes mushrooms, scallions, bean sprouts, cabbage, leeks, and corn. Our all-time customer favorite topping is the poached egg. You can choose over 10 different toppings to suit your palette.
Our signature dish the "The Hinomaru" is one of our spicy offerings. It includes our signature topping "fire ball" to satisfy your spicy palette. The Nagoya with its seasoned, spicy ground pork and chicken broth is another one of our spicy options. If you prefer something more complex, then our miso may be for you. It has over 30 different ingredients blended together with precision wok-work!
